Embarking on my journey to Macau as a first-time Filipino Overseas Foreign Worker (OFW) was a monumental chapter in my life. Arrival in Macau
Arriving in Macau, I was immediately struck by its unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures. Macau is a rather small nation. As long as you have a map, cash, and footwear, you can never get lost here. Walking shoes are a must when visiting this place. Avoid being like me, who arrived here wearing heels that were two inches high. I was left behind because my colleagues had already departed. My foot hurt so much when I walked into my hotel room.
The Life of a Room Attendant
My job as a room attendant was both demanding and rewarding. Each day brought new challenges, from ensuring that every guest’s room was spotless to learning the nuances of providing excellent customer service. Through hard work and dedication, I developed a sense of pride in my role, knowing that I was contributing to the guests' memorable experiences in Macau.
